  • Why The Arbol Method Exists

I did not begin this work because I was inspired.
I began because I was restless, anxious, and tired of searching.

For years, I committed myself fully to healing and self-discovery. I took self-empowerment courses. I pushed my body and mind through extreme embodiment practices. I broke arrows with my throat. I lay on beds of nails. I walked high mountains with my master while working with powerful plant medicines. I sat with different teachers and did deep psychological work.

From the outside, it looked like dedication.
    Inside, I still felt unsettled.

What I wanted was not another experience or breakthrough.
I wanted peace that stayed, clarity that didn’t fade, and a sense of purpose I could live from, not chase.

I wanted to wake up without feeling like something essential was missing.

Sacred plant medicines helped me connect with my inner self in ways nothing else had.
They opened doors I didn’t know existed.
They showed me freedom, truth, and possibility.

But after the ceremonies ended, the old patterns returned.

    The sadness returned.
    The anxiety returned.
    The same questions came back.

    The ceremonies were powerful.
And still, they were not enough.

That realization was painful because I wanted them to be the answer.

During a family vacation in Costa Rica, something shifted.
    There was no dramatic moment.
    No big declaration.

Just a quiet inner knowing that guided us to buy a piece of mountain land.

At the time, it didn’t make logical sense.
    Still, we followed it.

I planned everything on paper. Slowly, through effort and patience, the land became buildings. What emerged was not just a retreat center, but a place where I could finally slow down and listen more deeply.

As people began coming for ceremonies, I saw myself in them.
Intelligent, sincere people who had tried therapy, coaching, energy work, and plant medicines.
People who had insights, yet felt scattered and tired afterward.

They would ask, “Why does it fade?”
I had asked the same question for years.

That was when the truth became clear.

    Ceremonies open the door.
They do not teach you how to live on the other side of it.

What actually creates change is what happens after.
The daily work of integrating insights into the nervous system, into behavior, into relationships, and into how you treat yourself when no one is watching.

I realized that ceremonies were only a small part of healing.
The real work, the work that lasts, was integration.

That missing piece was responsible for most of the suffering I had experienced.

The Arbol Method was created from this understanding.

It is not about chasing peak experiences.
It is not about bypassing pain with spirituality.

It is a grounded integration process that brings together psychology, shamanic wisdom, and science to help people embody what they already know.

At Ruhani Wellness Centre, The Arbol Method retreat exists to support adults who are exhausted from searching and ready to stabilize their healing into daily life.

This work is slow by design.
    It is honest.
    It requires presence.

And it works because it respects the nervous system and the human pace of real change.

The people who come here stop seeing themselves as seekers who need fixing.
They begin to experience themselves as whole adults who can hold insight, responsibility, and calm at the same time.

Healing does not fail because you are broken.
It fails when insight is not integrated.

The Arbol Method exists to change that.

  • Assistant Holistic Sherpa

Hi, I’m Evelyn. My background is in Sustainable Tourism Business Management and Accounting, but my true calling found me here at Ruhani Wellness Centre.

For years, I explored different careers, searching for something that truly resonated with me—never realizing that my journey was guiding me toward something much deeper. Arriving at Ruhani felt like a cosmic signal, telling me I was ready to step out of my shell and embark on my own healing journey.

Healing isn’t a path we walk alone, and I have experienced firsthand the power of a supportive, nurturing community. Just as I have received unconditional support in this sacred space, I now dedicate myself to helping others find solace and transformation.

I am profoundly grateful to life for leading me here and to the Khattak family for welcoming me into this beautiful sanctuary. If you feel called to begin your own journey, know that you are not alone—I am here to walk alongside you.

  • Assistant Holistic Sherpa

Hi, I’m Josh. My path has taken me through the military, non-profit, and corporate worlds, but one of the greatest challenges I’ve faced has been within—learning to navigate lifelong anxiety and depression.

For years, I searched externally for answers, until I realized the truth: everything we seek is already within us. When we slow down, embrace Formal Reflection, and take Intentional Action, real transformation begins—both internally and externally.

My healing journey with plant medicine began in 2012, when I finally made the decision to take care of myself. Since meeting Faisal in 2019 and joining the compassionate, skilled team at Ruhani, that journey has deepened in ways I never imagined.

At Ruhani, a Sherpa is someone who helps carry the weight of the journey—not just for you, but also for the guides leading the way. I’m honored to hold space for you before, during (for select groups), and after your retreat, offering loving kindness and integration support as you step into your healing.

You don’t have to walk this path alone—I’m here to help carry the load.
